Young Chef competition
On Wednesday 16 November, 12 students entered the ‘Young Chef’ competition and cooked a main dish and dessert for two teachers of their choice. This challenging but fun experience developed practical skills and timing. The students had just over 2 hours and to cook their dishes then serve the teachers.
Mr Shivas said ‘I believe that Young Chef gives participants a challenge to see them compete against others to see who is the best ‘Young Chef’ in Sleaford. It was lovely to be invited!’
7 students were successful and will now compete in the local heats, judged by the Rotary Club on Saturday 26 November where they will have to make a 3-course meal. If they are lucky, they will get through to the District competition, dates still to be announced.
