On Wednesday 13 July, the Food Club organised and ran a ‘Ready Steady Cook’ competition for pairs of staff and students to take part in. This was a fun event which took place using a range of ingredients that had been donated by staff and students.

On Thursday 7 July the Year 12 Drama students performed their Devised Exam pieces to close family and friends in the Drama studio.
Sophie 10L represented KSHS at the Sleaford Schools Annual Golf Competition.
On Friday 1 July all Sleaford Joint Sixth Form students were able to participate in our Futures Day. Students could choose to attend one of three organised visits or attend a university open day of their choice.
On Thursday 23 June 2022, 72 Year 10 geography students visited Longbridge in Birmingham to collect primary data for their GCSE Geography human fieldwork. The whole experience was very interesting to see the regeneration of what once used to be a car factory.
The English department are delighted to announce that one of our students has, once again, been recognised by the National Theatre’s New Views programme for her playwriting talent. Nancy has been long listed for her play ‘Conversations with the Conscience’. We offer our sincere congratulations to Nancy and all of the students who worked so hard to complete their plays and put them forward to the National Theatre judging panel.

Staff are invited to nominate students who have demonstrated a Growth Mindset in the past few weeks. This might have been in lessons, in clubs, in tutor time or simply around school. Please note we already award bi-annual subject badges and merits for good academic work, effort and improvement. These Growth Mindset nominations recognise those who show resilience (academic or otherwise); who aren’t afraid to get things wrong and learn from it; those who have a go, take themselves out of their comfort zone or show that even if a task is tough they will persevere.
Sophie in 9LR competed in the Manchester Open on 18 June.
Amie took part in the Kent International Judo Competition and came away with two bronze medals. She won them in the Espoir and Senior categories.
