Food Prices for 2017/18

We have undertaken a price review of all food and drink served at break and lunchtime in the Chill. In order to keep up with the increase in prices from our suppliers, we have found it necessary to increase the price of most items. If you wish to see a specific list detailing all items click here.

We are pleased to announce that the price of the £2.40, £2.10 and £1.75 Meal Deals remain unchanged, which we believe offers excellent value.

We hope the students enjoy the food provided by the Catering Department and welcome any feedback to the Catering Manager.

Welcome to the Dining Room

The Catering department at Kesteven and Sleaford High School proudly offers students, staff and visitors a wide choice of food and drinks, all of which are nutritionally balanced and comply with school food standard regulations.

The emphasis is on providing well balanced, home cooked meals produced by professional qualified catering staff using local reputable suppliers where possible.

We help support our community by providing hot meals to two local primary schools.

A Cashless Pay system is used in the dining room linked to the online ParentPay facility. Cashless Pay provides students with a quick efficient payment service to beat queues and provides anonymity for those students entitled to free school meals. Additionally parents they can access information on any purchases their child has made.

Daily Meal Deals have proved extremely popular and offer excellent value for money.

Our three week menu cycle provides students and staff with a wide variety of choice including main meal choices, freshly prepared sandwiches; a very popular made- to- order baguette bar, various filled tortilla wraps, fresh fruit, chilled pasta pots and homemade cakes and biscuits. Students can pre order food at break times for lunch and those with allergies are also catered for. We also cater for vegetarians and vegans a popular service amongst our students.

Our Catering service has been endorsed by the County Council as being both professional and outstanding and along with a good working relationship with the Environmental Health department. We aim to continue working hard to maintain this.

We welcome any comments from both students and parents and these can be addressed to the Catering Manager via catering@kshs.uk
